Mirumiru is a unique name for a wine. It means bubbles in Maori, the language of the indigenous people of New Zealand.
MiruMiru is made from 58% Chardonnay, Pinot Noir 33% and Pinot Meunier 9%. The juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks before undergoing a full malolactic fermentation. The The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier parcels are kept separate and blended just before tirage. The 9% Pinot Meunier contribuites to the fruity charater of this sparkling.
Nose is clean and composed with light yeast, freshness and peachy stonefruit. Fruity character through the palate with canned peaches, a dash of lemon and a little cashew nut. Balanced. Refreshing in the summer heat. Good value too, going for around 52,000 won retail.
