Spring is finally here so it’s time to get back into white wines. Here’s one from New Zealand.
2010 Jackson Estate Stich Sauvignon Blanc 뉴질랜드 와인 소비뇽 블랑
Color: Pale straw with steely edges.
Bouquet: Fresh and lively. Citrus notes and nicely balanced green capsicum, Steely spine with a touch of richness. Vibrant.
Palate: Capsicum and fresh grapefruit that gets fleshly and fruitier towards the finish. Balanced with structure and complexity from sitting on lees for 3 months. Touch of oiliness and richness giving this wine a more complex mouthfeel.
This wine should go for 50,000 retail and 60,000 in a restaurant. Imported by Dongwon. Can’t find it in retail but it should be on wine lists around town.
Gift shared with a friend, sea snails and tempura.
